Dande South

Dande South is a 600,000 acres CAMPFIRE (Communal) area. It is situated 300km north of Harare in the Zambezi valley, close to Mozambique and joining Dande North and Chewore South.

Pro Safaris have hunted in Dande Communal area for over 15 years.

Lion are abundant in Dande South and this area gets 3 tags per year with 100% success rate. Maine on Lion are typical Zambezi Valley Lion, so decent, but not great. Lion are sold on 18 days with 1 Buffalo Bull tag and 1 Buffalo cow tag available for bait. Lions are typically hunted over bait but are from time to time tracked in this area.

Leopard are abundant in this area and are typically combined with a buffalo hunt. With a good mix of plainsgame available in the area, leopard hunters do have the choice of adding some plains animal tags to their bag. Leopard hunting is done over baiting and since this area is a communal area, can be done at night.

Sable hunting is also available in this area but are generally reserved for the big safaris. Sable hunting is mostly done in the foothills of the Zambezi Valley escarpment.

Two camps are available in this hunting concession. Main camp is composed of chalets with en-suite facilities. The Fly  camp comprises Luxury Safary tents with en-suite facilities and is generally used for short buffalo hunts..

In this area there are elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, sable and plainsgame of very good quality. There is a very good road network that makes hunting easy and convenient. Access to the area requires a 5 hour drive or a 1 hour air charter.
